Small Business Saturday

Brooksville Main Street is excited to announce a fun and engaging way to support local businesses this Small Business Saturday! On November 30th from 9am-5pm, join us in downtown Brooksville for Small Business Saturday shopping and fun!

What is Small Business Saturday?

Small Business Saturday, celebrated the Saturday after Thanksgiving, was founded by American

Express in 2010, as a national movement that encourages communities to shop small and support

the unique businesses that make their neighborhoods special. Small Business Saturday is a way

to promote the importance of supporting local economies and communities. When you shop small,

you're supporting local jobs, local tax bases, and a vibrant community culture.

This year, Brooksville Main Street is adding some excitement with our first-ever WeLoveBVL

Small Business Digital Scavenger Hunt, designed to showcase the amazing local shops,

restaurants, and services in the BVL community. The contest kicks off on November 25, and

you'll have until December 7 to fill your Bingo card for a chance to win big!

How the Game Works:

Scan the QR code and follow the prompts.

 Event Page: https://www.facebook.com/share/1XrJgQ1nw2/

Don’t forget to include your contact information!

Complete the tasks on your Bingo card by visiting local businesses. A simple click will add a marker to help you keep track of your progress.

For every Bingo you complete, you'll be entered into our raffle! You can earn up to 6 raffle tickets for more chances to win.

Be sure to take photos along the way, tagging the businesses you visit as photo proof with #WeLoveBVL!

It’s a fun and festive way to support local businesses while having the chance to win fantastic prizes. So grab your Bingo card and start shopping small this holiday season!

Good luck, and don’t forget to tag us in your posts!

Why Shop Small?

By shopping small, you’re not only finding unique and personalized gifts, but you’re also supporting your local economy. For every dollar spent at a small business, approximately 67 cents stay within the local community, creating jobs and strengthening the local economy. Regardless of where you live in this county, you can be certain that our community benefits greatly from the restaurants, retail stores, manufacturers, and service providers that create jobs and drive economic growth in Brooksville and Hernando County as a whole.

Event Highlights:

 Exclusive Deals: Many businesses will offer great deals, special promotions and discounts.

 Community Fun: Enjoy a day of shopping, dining, and connecting with fellow BVL residents!

 Fun activities for the family include:

o Stocking Making Station

o Gift Wrap Station

o Christmas Card station sponsored by City of Brooksville Parks & Recreation

o Letters to Santa station

o Food Trucks and pop-up Arts & Crafts small businesses

o Historic Building and Window Display Selfies

There are plenty of reasons to #ShopSmall and support the businesses that keep our downtown community thriving. Be sure to share your shop small experiences on social media using #ShopSmall and #WeLoveBVL and thank the businesses you visit for their contributions to our neighborhoods.
